Special Needs Programs
The Special Needs Committee works to help children and young adults who are disabled become involved, feel independent, and lead happy and fulfilled lives. Check out our news page to meet Leo, our Special Needs Child of the Year.

The Red Bank Elks lodge holds free monthly socials for young adults at our Lodge where kids can eat pizza, dance to a DJ, and socialize in a safe environment.

In addition we sponsor “camperships” to the Elks Special Needs camp, Camp Moore in the Ramapo Mountains. In 2011, we sponsored 30 young adults for a spring or fall weekend and 15 children for a week-long summer trip where they will all experience new adventures, lasting friendships, and opportunities that promote independence and greater self-confidence.

We've also provided financial support for the SPUR (Special People United to Ride) organization in Middletown where individuals with disabilities learn and practice how to ride and handle horses.

Community Support
The Red Bank Elks believes in supporting and participation with our community. We have made financial donations to community organizations such as Red Bank Lunch Break, the Monmouth County Food Bank, the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, the Boys and Girls Club, the KaBOOM fireworks event, and many more.

The Red Bank Elks also hosts annual Flag Day and 9-11 services for the local community.

Member Support
The Red Bank Elks see the Lodge as a place for family and friends to come together. That's why we have many events such as BBQs, family festivals, entertainment events, and holiday parties throughout the year that give our members and their families the chance to socialize with other Elks. Check out our Events page to stay informed about what's going on!

Supporting our Military and Patriotism
The Red Bank Elks Lodge believes in supporting our current and past military members as much as possible. And patriotism is a core principle.
From our observance of Memorial Day and Flag Day to programs to assist veterans such as our Christmas party/trip to the Lyons VA hospital, there's no shortage of what we can do.

And we've supported our current military in various programs including donating over $2,000 of phone cards to deployed marines last year. And this year, we raffled off bicycles and purchased over $1,000 of phone cards to send to the marines.

Youth Programs
Elks believe that sporting activities provide spirited competition, develop character, and provide the opportunity for youngsters to make new friendships.

The Elks Batter-up Contest is one of those programs, allowing local kids to take their swing at hitting a home run. Five age groups played on June 18th, and winners won trophies and have the chance at representing our lodge in the district competition.

The Elks Hoop Shoot Free Throw Competition is held in the winter months, and was in its 37th year in 2010, with over 3 million boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 13 participating.
And the competition was tough as the national finalists generally average around 90% free throw completion. Results of this years competition can be found on our NEWS page.

We also hold a Soccer Shoot competition in the fall months.

Scholarship Programs
The Red Bank Elks Lodge believes in investing in our youth, as they are our future. We have many programs for our local youth to support them and motivate them to achieve (and have fun!) in the areas of education and leadership.

In 2012, the Red Bank Elks Lodge awarded over $10,000 in awards and scholarships. Congratulations to:

Kevin Crean, Red Bank Catholic High School
Gemma Ciabattoni, Red Bank Regional High School
Shelby K Frank*, Red Bank Regional High School
